Playa Las Gemelas in Puerto Vallarta: A Micro Paradise Worth Visiting
Traveling Delights Courtesy the Mexican Pacific Ocean in Puerto Vallarta
Puerto Vallarta. How many things I could say about this fantastic, paradisiacal, and fabulous premier vacation center in Jalisco’s state. Mexico’s pride too.
Great happenings of all sizes and forms have occurred here.
Just by thinking about how many hours of family amusement, great solo traveling experiences, wedding events, spas, and relaxation options Puerto Vallarta offers, I want to come back as soon as possible.
However, if you want to visit Puerto Vallarta, my partners of jetradar.com can offer you the best airfares here; or if you’d like to get another opinion, my partners of chepoair.com have great rates here. Thank you very much for supporting me.
National and international business meetings also see in Puerto a perfect business spot.
Without forget mentioning so many personal or group events celebrating fun and relaxation.
That’s why Puerto Vallarta stands out in Mexico’s top-notch catalog of first-line vacation centers.
How many friends and traveling companions, how many great experiences you can live there. No doubt at all, “Vallarta” has earned a place into a category of its own.
One of the Mexican tourism industry flagships continues to navigate proudly along the seas of time.
This way, Vallarta features a majestic beaches’ pearl necklace. Yes, my Magno followers, playa “Las Gemelas” (The Twins Beach). That’s how they decided to name this beach south of Puerto Vallarta a few yesterdays ago.
Here you won’t find two twin sisters at all. Well, perhaps you do, it’s possible. Instead, you’ll see before your eyes an elements’ combination that captivates visitors’ souls.
You’ll be greeted by lush and exuberant nature, a fine sand beach, and a fascinating blue-green sea Mexican Pacific Ocean, Puerto Vallarta chapter.
Well, why did they name it “Las Gemelas” beach? Because this space is made up of a couple of beaches divided by a rock wall.
Located 9 kilometers (5.59 miles) south of Puerto Vallarta, taking the “Plaza de Armas” in downtown Vallarta as a starting point, it’s located at the kilometer 7.5 (4.66 miles) of the highway that leads to “Barra de Navidad” in the Michoacán state.
Playa “Las Gemelas” is made up of two beaches. The northern beach, which is ideal for spending pleasant relaxation and contemplation moments in the sea due to its geographical composition.
This northern beach is ideal for those traveling with their families since the waves aren’t very rough. It’s usually full of visitors, especially in high seasons and weekends at noon.
Here, the best advice is to arrive early in the morning to find an ideal place to rest and spend the day. It’s relatively easy to reach these beaches by any means of transportation.
Puerto Vallarta is great, isn’t it? Let me suggest you rent a car to drive in Puerto Vallarta.
Why? Because it’s very convenient and taking advantage of the affordable rates that my partners of Discover Cars offer you here or Economy Bookings that you can get here, driving in Puerto Vallarta will be trouble-free. Thank you very much for supporting me.
By car, following the directions mentioned above, or if you prefer to take public transportation, there are city buses and taxis that leave from the “Viejo Vallarta,” zone next to the “Isla Cuale.”
During your journey to the “Playa Las Gemelas,” you’ll pass next to other divine beaches closer to the “Olas Altas” and the “Zona Romántica” areas.
On the other hand, the southern beach is a little more isolated from the northern beach.
You can access it either through the rocks of the wall that divides it from the northern beach or by swimming from the northern beach.
This event is possible since, in these beaches, there are no sea currents that can put in danger swimmers’ lives. There’s also one access through a condominium complex that faces the beach.
It’s worth mentioning that these beaches aren’t characterized by being very long.
I mean, these areas aren’t made up of a large shore strip, which otherwise would make it difficult to access them.
Here, you can do activities such as horizon contemplation, swimming, some beach sports like soccer or volleyball, kayaking, and shallow snorkeling near the beach.
Your thirsty traveling imagination can also give space to sunbathing and tanning, reading, relaxing, meditating, listening to music, photography, etc.
Magno recommendation number one.
Sunrises and sunsets take on a different and unique nuance here, due to its location somewhat away from downtown Vallarta.
I especially recommend sunrises and sunsets in winter.
A plus that I give to this beach is that its tranquility stands out over other beaches closer to downtown Puerto Vallarta when Playa Las Gemelas isn’t very crowded.
Something important, my Magno readers.
In the beach’s vicinity, there are no restaurants or convenience stores.
Hence, bringing your food and hydration and a small bag to carry away visitors’ after-party garbage is something that our Mother Nature will extremely appreciate from you.
If you wish to stay near playa “Las Gemelas,” you can find excellent quality and acceptable accommodation offers in the surroundings.
Now, what is the result of combining fantastic accommodation options at very affordable prices and awesome tours? Hostelworld and Musement.
Those lodging options come by the hand of the magnificent hotels “Grand Park Royal Puerto Vallarta,” “Grand Fiesta Americana Vallarta,” and “Hotel Mousai Puerto Vallarta.”
